Future

I want to continue developing myself as a critical social designer, by focusing on the expertise areas of User & Society and Creativity & Aesthetics. I want to use my first semester to still experiment and try out new things. Therefore I chose two squads which I haven’t been part of yet for my first project, Games & Play and Sensory Matters. As I believe I can learn new design approaches in both squads, contributing to my development as a designer. I also chose the Art & Tech course hosted by Innovation Space for my elective space. Because this course fits well within the expertise areas of Creativity & Aesthetics and User & Society. However, there is also a big focus on Technology & Realization in this course, which could help me develop within this area. Along that, you work together with stakeholders and professionals, which allows me to develop my professional skills.

During my master I hope to further specify my vision as a social critic. I would like to work together with municipalities and institutes, influencing policy-making with my designs. With my designs I want to advocate for social sustainability and have a positive impact. My goal is to integrate social sustainability into policy-making. By advocating design initiatives that address social issues, I strive to create positive, lasting impacts that uplift individuals and communities. I am curious to explore the possibilities within this field.

Finally, I will continue working in the study information pool, but now as the coordinator. Within this role I help organize the open days and experience days. Because this is done in close collaboration with the faculty, I will develop my professional attitude towards working with faculty members. I hope to further develop my event management skills, within this role.
