Description:
Relation between COVID-19 and air quality
In 2020 COVID-19 took over our world. Everyone needed to stay at home in isolation and work from home. This had a big influence on the traffic intensity.
Traffic emits NO2. The NO2 concentration is a parameter of the air quality, and in this research we will refer to the NO2 concentration as the air quality.
In this research we will answer the questions: Did COVID-19 influence the air quality? Did COVID-19 influence the number of vehicles passing by per hour? Is there a relation between the number of vehicles passing by and the air quality? Is there a relation between the temperature and the air quality?
In this research we will provide the answer to these relations. The measurement stations used in this research are in Rotterdam and located near Rotterdam Zwartewaalstraat.
